The SDA makes this submission to the House of Representatives Standing Committee in response to its inquiry into the operation and adequacy of the National Employment Standards (NES). In preparing this submission, the SDA has considered the matters outlined in the Terms of
Reference , including whether the NES remains effective and relevant, whether they are appropriate for the contemporary workforce of the 2020s, and whether they continue to promote fair work standards and job security for employees.
