Exposure to psychosocial hazards is a key workplace health and safety concern, highlighted by recent changes to WHS Regulation, Codes of Practice and International Standards.
Employers in all industries have an obligation to ensure workers are safe from psychosocial hazards. In occupations such as retail work, workers can be exposed to a wide range of psychosocial hazards, including high workloads, low job control, role conflict, poor supervision and support, and violence and abuse.
