In late 2025, the Allan Labor Government committed to introduce Workplace Protection Orders (WPOs) to Ban Aggressive Customers.
WPOs mean that if an offender ignores the order and returns, they would be committing an offence and could face serious penalties, including jail time.
Our members are still waiting for these laws to be passed – while they remain exposed to repeat offenders continuing to attack and abuse them at work.
We call on the Government to deliver on its promise to protect retail and fast food workers by legislating enforceable WPOs.
