Bargaining Update December 2025
Good news! The new Hungry Jack’s Agreement has been approved by the Fair Work Commission.
The new Agreement will take effect from the first full pay period, 3 months from 10 December 2025.
This is a fantastic outcome for employees at Hungry Jack’s.
The new Hungry Jack’s Agreement will ensure your pay and conditions are protected and will deliver:
- Higher wages than the Award
- Fairer rostering – for your work/life balance
- Improved leave entitlements
- Your hard-won SDA Union conditions
Once the new Agreement comes into effect, check your pay slip to make sure you are being paid correctly.

Bargaining Update October 2025
SDA Organisers are out in stores with important information about your pay and conditions in the proposed Hungry Jack’s Stores Agreement.
Following extensive negotiations between the SDA and Hungry Jack’s, a proposed new Hungry Jack’s Agreement is ready for you to consider. Hungry Jack’s employees will then vote on whether or not to accept the proposed Agreement.

Please take the time to read through all the information provided to you so you can make an informed decision about what is best for you when voting begins.
Voting will take place online from 14 October to 20 October.
Remember, you have the final say. No new agreement can be put in place without a majority yes vote.
If the majority of Hungry Jack’s workers vote yes in the ballot, it will then go to the Fair Work Commission for approval.
Keep an eye out for SDA Organisers in your store over the coming weeks and don’t hesitate to ask any questions. You can also direct questions to your SDA Delegate or Shop Steward in your store.
Your pay and conditions at Hungry Jack's
Hungry Jack’s workers are covered by the Hungry Jack’s Agreement. This is a legally binding document and your employer must comply with the provisions outlined in the agreement.
The Hungry Jack’s Agreement sets out all of your pay and conditions at work. It is specific to Hungry Jack’s workers only. The Agreement includes:
- Breaks
- Penalty rates
- Overtime
- Rates of pay
- Pay rises
- Rostering rights
The SDA negotiates with Hungry Jack’s on your behalf to secure improved pay and conditions.
Before any negotiations for a new agreement begins, the SDA surveys members about what’s important to you at work.
Generally, a new agreement is negotiated every 3-4 years.
