Vote NO at ALDI in Western Australia

ALDI is putting a subpar proposal to a vote of ALDI workers across Western Australia.

The SDA and ALDI workers have repeatedly made it clear that guaranteed wage increases, understaffing, secure hours and better rostering provisions are their key concerns, but ALDI has not listened.

Our concerns with ALDI’s new offer include:

  • No guaranteed wage increases
  • Significantly lower pay rates for DC workers than in Victoria
  • No action on understaffing or workload issues
  • No significant improvements to rostering conditions
  • No improvements to managers’ break entitlements
  • Introduces junior rates of pay

When we stand together at ALDI, we win.

ALDI’s last subpar offers were overwhelmingly voted down twice by workers in South Australia last year.

The new WA new proposal does not offer any substantial improvements and does not recognise worker needs.

Send ALDI a clear message by voting NO on this Agreement.

Voting on the new offer will occur soon.  You should receive instructions on how to cast your vote from the company.

All ALDI workers should have their say. The Agreement will only take effect if a majority of workers who vote, vote in favour of it.

ALDI has ignored key claims by the SDA and union members.

Throughout negotiations, the SDA has pushed for improvements including:
  • 10% pay increase for workers and subsequent pay rises in line with the Annual Wage Review
  • 5 weeks of annual leave
  • Part-time minimum hours to be increased to 15 hours
  • Ability for permanent workers to provide standing consent to work additional hours
  • Ability for part-time workers to permanently increase fixed contracted hours based on actual hours worked
  • Rosters to be provided 4 weeks in advance
  • Inclusion of a WHS clauses relating to understaffing or excessive workload
  • Inclusion of a Work and Care clause recognising the personal and caring commitments of workers
