Important information about the new Kmart Agreement

The Kmart Agreement has now been approved by the Fair Work Commission. It will take effect from 10 March 2025.
The new Agreement delivers:
- Better wages
- Fairer rostering and more hours
- Improved leave entitlements
- Your hard-won SDA conditions
The nominal expiry is 4 years after the new Agreement is approved by the FWC.

Kmart workers are covered by the Kmart Agreement. This is a legally binding document and your employer must comply with the provisions outlined in the agreement.
The Kmart Agreement sets out all of your pay and conditions at work. It is specific to Kmart workers only. The Agreement includes:
- Breaks
- Penalty rates
- Overtime
- Rates of pay
- Pay rises
- Rostering rights
The SDA negotiates with Kmart on your behalf to secure improved pay and conditions.
Before any negotiations for a new agreement begins, the SDA surveys members about what’s important to you at work.
Generally, a new agreement is negotiated every 3-4 years.
