SUPPORT BARGAINING FOR A BETTER DEAL FOR MANAGERS AND ASSISTANT MANAGERS AT THE REJECT SHOP

The SDA has been requested and authorised by members to seek the support of is seeking Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers’ support to commence bargaining for an Enterprise Agreement with The Reject Shop.

The Union want to give you a voice on important issues. Workers have shared concerns about the ability to take breaks, understaffing, making the right to disconnect work and fair compensation for call outs. It’s time to combat the intensified work and pressure you face.

If a majority of Store and Assistant Store Manager in our region sign the SDA’s petition to support bargaining, the SDA can then apply to the Fair Work Commission for a determination which can compel The Reject Shop to begin bargaining.

By signing the SDA’s petition. If a majority of Store and Assistant Store Manager support it, the SDA can then apply to the Fair Work Commission for a determination which can compel The Reject Shop to begin bargaining with the SDA.

It means ensuring that all managers doing the same job are paid fairly and equally. Some of your colleagues at The Reject Shop are paid up to $5 less per hour – wage justice is about ensuring no one is held back and no one is left behind.

If the petition receives majority support from Store Managers and Assistant Store Managers, the SDA will then apply to the Fair Work Commission for a majority support determination to be made. This would then mean The Reject Shop can be compelled to begin negotiations with the SDA for an Enterprise Agreement.
