Tracey is a strong voice in her workplace and is always looking out for everyone. As a Delegate, Tracey feels like she can make a real difference at her workplace, ensuring everyone is heard and valued.
We asked Tracey a few quick questions about her role as a Union Delegate.
1. Why did you become a Delegate?
I decided to become a Delegate because I wanted to help others. I strive to help workers be heard.
2. Why is recruitment important?
Recruitment is important because more members make us stronger.
3. What campaigns have you been involved with and why are they important?
I have supported campaigns for respecting workers ahead of the holiday season and always supporting young workers getting pay they deserve.
4. What has been your most notable achievement in your workplace?
I always aim to try and resist cliques and groups in the workplace, as well as aiming to limit bullying overall.
5. What have you enjoyed about being a Delegate most so far?
I have enjoyed helping team members have a voice. I want to continue to make our workplace a pleasant place.
6. What do you aim to achieve in your workplace in the next 12 months?
In the next 12 months I want to keep aiming for fairness and respect in the workplace. I also want to keep reminding management to be aware of all team members not just a few.
7. What do you get most out of the role as a Delegate?
As a Delegate I get to make a difference.
