Vote NO on the new proposed BP Agreement
The SDA Union has been negotiating with BP to secure a new BP Enterprise Agreement. This Agreement will set out your pay and conditions at work. The proposed Agreement, put to vote by the company, does not deliver real improvements in wages and conditions – Vote No.
BP is a multi-billion-dollar company. They can afford a good deal for the people who keep the sites running.
Cuts to your hours
BP wants the power to cut your part-time hours without your consent.
If you’re contracted for 30 hours, they could slash you to 3 hours a week at their discretion.
No real improvements
Only a token 0.5% above the Award at the start, and after ~6 months you drop back to the Award minimum base rate.
- Most “changes” are just Award compliance. The SDA pushed BP to fix things they should always have been doing under the Award.
- No guaranteed wage premium locked in for the life of the Agreement.
What happens if you Vote NO?
- A majority NO vote tells BP clearly: we want a better deal.
- Bargaining continues – we keep pushing for:
- A real, ongoing wage premium above the Award
- Secure hours (no unilateral cuts to part-time hours)
- Stronger conditions and union rights so the Agreement is enforceable and you’re respected at work
Your vote is confidential.
Vote NO for secure hours, real pay, and a fair deal worthy of BP’s profits.
