Grill’d workers are set to receive better and fairer pay going forward thanks to the SDA!
The new Grill’d Agreement has been approved by the Fair Work Commission but with some conditions.
Over the past few months, we’ve been in the Fair Work Commission calling for significant improvements to this Agreement to make sure you’re not worse off.
For too long, Grill’d has operated an unfair pay structure that means Grill’d workers have been paid less than other fast food workers.
Like the current Agreement, this new Agreement would have left workers worse off than the Award over its lifetime.
So we put a stop to this. Thanks to our efforts in the Fair Work Commission, Grill’d must now ensure workers are not paid less than the Award during the life of the agreement.
This outcome also incentivises the company to increase wages in future years beyond the minimal 1% outlined in the Agreement.
This is a major step forward in protecting and improving Grill’d workers pay and conditions.
This was only possible because of union members at Grill’d who stood up against this unfair pay structure. If you’re not a member, join the SDA today.
