In great news for workers at EG Fuel, the Company’s subpar EBA offer has been voted DOWN by a majority of workers.
EG Fuel abruptly ended negotiations with the SDA for a new Agreement and decided to put its offer to a vote of workers.
Their offer contained:
- No real wage increase
- No guaranteed minimum shift for part time workers
- No improvements to casual minimum shifts
We stood up against this offer because we knew workers deserved better. By standing together and voting down this Agreement, workers are sending a powerful message: we won’t settle for the bare minimum.
This result means we can return to the bargaining table and continue pushing for better wages and conditions at EG Fuel including:
- Wages above the industry minimum rates of pay
- Fairer conditions for part-time and casual workers
