The fuel crisis is putting SDA members in petrol stations under enormous pressure and at increased risk.

The SDA has received reports from our members of increased abuse as a result of the increase in fuel prices.

Petrol station workers are just doing their job and don’t control the prices.

Safety is union business and keeping you safe at work is our top priority.

From physical violence to verbal abuse, this kind of behaviour should never be tolerated by you or your employer.

Your employer has a duty to take all reasonable steps to keep you safe. If your employer fails to take this seriously, the SDA is here to step in.

Working in petrol? Tell us about your experiences

The SDA is currently conducting a survey of SDA members in petrol stations about the impact fuel prices and supply issues are having on your workplace and your safety.

If you’re facing increased abuse at work as a result of the fuel crisis, we want to hear about it.

Your response will help guide our next steps and ensure appropriate action is taken to keep you safe at work.
