Negotiations for the first-ever Enterprise Agreement at Eudunda Farmers Ltd Supermarkets will soon begin after a successful bid by the SDA at the Fair Work Commission.
Earlier this year, the SDA lodged a majority support application to commence bargaining at Eudunda Farmers Ltd, after the Company refused our requests to bargain.
Hundreds of workers at Eudunda Farmers supermarkets signed our petition, calling for bargaining to begin to give them a real say on their pay and conditions.
In the largest ever majority support determination made, the Fair Work Commission found that a majority of workers want to bargain for better pay and conditions.
Eudunda Farmers Ltd is an Adelaide-based company, operating 20 supermarkets across regional South Australia and employs hundreds of workers who are currently covered by the Retail Award.
We believe these workers deserve to receive stronger pay and conditions – just like many other SDA members.
Before negotiations begin, the SDA will be surveying workers across all Eudunda Farmers Supermarkets to find out about the key things they would like to see included in the Agreement.
By standing up, we have opened the way for workers to have a real say on their pay and conditions.
