Following extensive negotiations, the new Bunnings Agreement has been voted up by a majority of workers, with 68% voting in favour.

This means the new Agreement will now go to the Fair Work Commission for approval. No changes to workers’ pay or conditions will take effect until the Agreement is approved.

Negotiations for a new Agreement were challenging, but the SDA has worked hard to deliver improved conditions. Thanks to SDA members, the new Agreement delivers:

  • Locked in compounding wage increases of 11.1% to the minimum rates over the life of the Agreement
  • Backpay to 31 August 2026
  • Higher weekday early morning and weekday evening penalty rates for all workers
  • Higher Saturday penalty rates for all workers
  • Higher Sunday penalty rates for casuals
  • A new 2-week roster and pay cycle
  • Improvements to Compassionate Leave
  • Increased part-time minimum weekly hours
  • A higher safety boot allowance of up to $120 per year
  • More flexible break options

At the Fair Work Commission, the SDA will be pursuing further improvements to the Agreement including to supervisors and senior supervisors rates of pay, classifications and mutual variation agreements.

Thank you to all Bunnings members who had their say.
