It’s been over a year since the SDA Union started our EBA campaign and called for LUSH to come to the table and start bargaining for an Agreement at the Rundle Mall store.

This will be the first-ever Enterprise Agreement for LUSH retail workers in Rundle Mall – and it wouldn’t have been possible without union members.

We have come so far, and now we are wanting to escalate the pressure around lifting and guaranteeing fair wages.

It’s time LUSH show they are serious about real employee consultation – otherwise, they shouldn’t claim to be in The LUSH Ethical Charter.

We’re bringing LUSH back to the bargaining table – and the SDA is prepared to take any necessary steps to secure a fair Agreement for workers.

The SDA’s member-led Bargaining Team has been pushing LUSH to agree to several key improvements.

While there has been some progress in bargaining, LUSH hasn’t provided any concrete consideration of the claims that their workforce care about.

These claims include:
  • Recognising that your service and experience should reflect a higher rate of pay.
  • Locking in the longstanding higher Sunday and Public Holiday rates of pay in the Agreement, not in a policy.
  • Pay workers the full adult rates once they turn 18 and increase the rates for workers under 18.
You can find out everything that the SDA Bargaining Team is fighting for in our Log of Claims here.
What happens next, and how can we get LUSH to commit?

We need to show the LUSH Executives in the UK that we’re serious about locking in better pay and conditions.

We’re calling for LUSH to meet with workers in the coming weeks, and we welcome all workers to join us where possible.

Potential dates will be discussed with your bargaining team to find a date that works best for as many workers as possible.

Being a member of the SDA is the best way to have your voice and values heard at the bargaining table.

If you’re not a member or know someone who isn’t, encourage them to join now.
