The SDA is proud to support the National Breast Cancer Foundation’s Pink Ribbon Appeal during Breast Cancer Awareness month, October.

Since the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) was founded in 1994, the death rates from breast cancer in Australia have reduced by over 40%, thanks in large part to research in prevention, early detection and new and improved breast cancer treatments.

Although progress is being made, there is still a long way to go. That’s why the SDA is proud to support the Pink Ribbon Appeal, so they can continue their great work.

Adult Stem Cell Donors

Blood cancers and blood disorders also affect many SDA members and Australians. One treatment that can help, requires adult stem cells from 18 to 35 year olds who are a close match to the patient.

Registering as a donor is free and painless. Click here to order a free at-home kit and register as a potential donor.
