Thanks for the assistance received from the union when I was 17 years old.

I had an issue where I kept asking for an increase in my core hours and I kept getting told that “We don’t have enough hours to contract”.

I then contacted the SDA on advice on what to do. I then proceeded with the advice I had received.

This assistance with how to proceed ended up getting me a 35 hour part time contract at the time of me putting the request through to my store manager.

It greatly impacted me by being able to secure a large enough contract to be able to move out of home sooner and get my own car. It means a lot being an SDA member with the feeling of having the union on my side when I need the help.
